As you may have noticed, I have given the Perspectives editors the space normally devoted to the Coordinator's Column this year to address issues of interest to our affiliates. However, in this issue published immediately prior to our annual convention, I wanted to take the opportunity to remind affiliates of all the amazing events available this year at the ASHA Convention, November 17-19, 2011, in San Diego. Here are a few highlights.
There are also three workshops sponsored by the 2011 Voice Program Committee.
This year, several of our affiliates will be honored by becoming ASHA Fellows and receiving the prestigious ASHA Honors. Let's congratulate Robert (Bob) Hillman for being one of the 2011 ASHA Honors recipients as a valued contributor to the field of speech-language pathology and to the area of voice science. Congratulations to Susan Thibeault, Julie Barkmeier-Kraemer, and Carole Roth for being named ASHA Fellows. Please come to the Awards Ceremony on Thursday, November 18 at 5:30 p.m. to help our valued affiliates celebrate these wonderful achievements!
