This issue contains an informative article by Peter Watson regarding the contribution of the rib cage to speech breathing. Many of our voice therapy goals focus upon coordination of optimal breathing patterns with phonation and resonation. We should always be seeking additional information about the anatomy and physiology of the underlying processes. Kathleen Treole has contributed some much need information about DAT recorders. Everybody has greater instrumentation needs than available budget dollars, so hopefully this information will help some people spend wisely!
ASHA will begin indexing the Division 3 newsletter articles. The first comprehensive index of division newsletters will likely be mailed along with the year-end newsletter.
