Welcome new and returning Division 3 affiliates! Division 3 has welcomed more than 150 new members so far this year taking our membership to over 1,560 and growing. I remember not so long ago when we were proud of breaking the 1,000 mark!
In March, the Steering Committee (SC) met to make plans for the future, specifically including publication programs and projects. For Perspectives, we determined clinically and scientifically relevant topics for 2008 with an eye toward what our affiliates have requested. Also, due to the excellent work of Editor Bari Ruddy and Associate Editor Susan Baker, we were able to propose last year’s issues of Perspectives as the basis for CE for-sale products that can be offered through ASHA Professional Development. The proposals were approved, allowing the Division to earn nondues revenue from sale of these products to non-affiliates. (Note: Affiliates who have not already obtained CEUs for self-study of the material can purchase the product and earn CEUs.)
