Greetings to all Division 3 affiliates!
Welcome to our second 2006 issue of Perspectives, featuring six articles on Head and Neck Cancer. I appreciate having the opportunity to read current updates on treatment, technology, and quality of life care for this special population.
Division 3’s perceptual rating tool, Consensus on Auditory Perceptual Analysis–Voice (CAPE-V), is currently undergoing field validity testing in a multicenter study directed by Richard Zraick. We will hear a report of these data in our Division 3-sponsored Short Course at the ASHA Convention, entitled “Now Hear This!” with presentations by Rahul Shrivastav, Richard Zraick, Gail Kempster, and Bernice Klaben.
